“The Slaughter of the Innocents”

“The Slaughter of the Innocents”
(The Loss of Our National Treasure)

In Western Culture where the media features racial, gay, and other “issues” where is the national and international outrage over the slaughter of the innocents? When Hitler's gas ovens came to light, when the Killing Fields became known, when those who died in Stalin's Russia, became known there was international outrage.
Yet, there is a genocide that is greater and more horrendous than those mentioned.  It is a genocide that takes place every day and yet is as hidden from view as Hitler's death camps.
Based upon the previously given quote from Friederich Nietzsche and his observation that without Christian moral standards the cultures of man would unravel (see quote at “Nietzsche was Right” available at http://alviesthots.blogspot.com/2013/11/god-is-missing.html), I wonder if he could have imagined six million Jews in Hitler's death camps (Hitler was a follower of Nietzsche) or the following.
Consider that these are just the incidents that made the news.  In the past eight months or so...
  • October 17 - A 17-year-old girl admits that in her bag she has the body of a baby that she gave birth to the day previous.
  • October 11 - A newborn baby is found alive, abandoned on the concrete in the back yard of a house. The baby survived.
  • September 19 - The body of a baby is found at a garbage dump in West Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom.
  • August 28 - A woman gives birth in a bar bathroom stuffs the baby in the water tank of a toilet, and then returns to the bar to watch a fight on TV.
  • August 7 - The body of a baby is discovered at hospital rest room.
  • July 9 - Police discover the body of a baby abandoned in a diaper box.
  • June 21 - The body of a small baby is found in a solid waste tank. Police say the baby was likely flushed down the toilet.
  • June 21 - The body of a newborn baby is discovered in a trash can.
  • June 20 - A woman is found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm after stuffing her baby in a garbage bag and throwing her down a 44 ft. garbage chute.
  • June 14 - A garbage truck driver sees a small hand emerge from a garbage bag during a pickup. The baby had a balloon tied around her throat.
  • June 12 - Mother dumps her infant son in the trash can. She reportedly told police that she was tired of caring for the baby.
  • June 5 – Woman gives birth in a toilet, places her daughter in a trash can, and then taking the garbage bag she tossed it in a dumpster.
  • June 4 - A dog discovers a living baby that had been placed in a plastic bag in a dump. The baby, who was premature, survived.
  • May 30 - Teen gave birth and dumped the body of her baby in a trash can. The teen claimed the baby was stillborn.
  • May 27 - Firefighters rescuing a baby who had become stuck in a sewage pipe.
  • May 2 – Woman attempted to flush her newborn baby down the toilet and when that didn’t work, she deposited the body in the trash can.
  • Dec. 10, 2012 - The body of a newborn baby is discovered on the conveyor belt of a garbage sorting facility.

We recoil at these things but there is another question!  Could it be that this is but one step further, that last one being abortion?  So what if a child made it to delivery.  If it is but a mass of tissue before birth, maybe it is not that much more after birth. If one give little thought to these innocent little children who it is now discovered experience the pain of abortion what is the big deal about their death after birth?  Or what about this if they survive being put to death before birth then there is the thereafter?  Yes, put to death thereafter.  Information is coming to light that even in “legal” abortion clinics babies are routinely murdered after being born alive.
What have we become?  We recoil in horror at Hitler’s death camps but millions of innocent little babies have been slaughtered and we call it “choice.”   How can we go on slaughtering our national treasure, our future, and the hope for any kind of a future?

Oh, I know...it is all a matter of convenience.  Certainly in a narcissistic culture one must not be inconvenienced by denying oneself the pleasures of life.  One certainly must not deal with the inconvenience of an unwanted pregnancy.  I'll be you Baby Avery's parents would do anything to have more inconvenience.  Read her story at the listed web site.

“God is Missing”

“God is Missing”

(Nietzsche Had it Right)

An Endearing Story

Two little boys, ages 8 and 10, are excessively mischievous. They are always getting into trouble and their parents know if any mischief occurs in their town, the two boys are probably involved.
The boys' mother heard that a preacher in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys.  The preacher agreed, but he asked to see them individually.
The mother sent the 8 year old in the morning, with the older boy to see the preacher in the afternoon.
The preacher, a huge man with a deep booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Do you know where God is, son?"  The boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there wide-eyed with his mouth hanging open.
So the preacher repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God?! Again, the boy made no attempt to answer.
The preacher raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD?!"
The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him.  When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"
The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time!"  "GOD is missing, and they think WE did it!"

A Serious Truth

The reality of the matter is that God is missing and WE did do it!
The simple truth is this.  Religious ideas have lost their social significance in western culture.  Thus secularization has become the norm but not just any secularization.  It is a rather proactive even aggressive secularization!
Within Western Culture, when the individual chooses to hold some belief or another that is not agreeable to the culture, then something very interesting but very tragic happens.  More and more that culture seeks to stamp its standards upon that individual in an attempt to mold him into the cultural norm of naturalism and thus secularism.
At one time religion had a seat at the table and a place in public discourse.  Now it is relegated to eating in the kitchen.  At one time ethical truth was that which was foundational to one’s life and the functions within the group.  It served stabilized however with secularization such is no longer so.  Even the likes of Friedrich Nietzsche, though he sought to decimate Christian belief and compromise ethical thinking recognized that the outcomes of such thinking would be dire.
“The greatest recent event – that ‘God is dead,’ that the belief in the Christian God has become unbelievable – is already beginning to cast its first shadows. . . . But in the main one may say: The event itself is far too great, too distant, too remote from the multitude’s capacity for comprehension. . . . Much less may one suppose that many people know as yet what this event really means – and how much must collapse now that this faith has been undermined because it was built upon this faith, propped up by it, grown into it; for example, the whole of our . . . morality. . . .”

Friedrich Nietzsche was right, and even during his lifetime he could see that without there being the influence of the Christian God, the shadows of moral degradation and missing civility were beginning to be cast over Western Culture.  It is interesting to note that Nietzsche spent the last of his years insane and silent.  The only time he broke that silence was to quote the Scriptures he had learned as a young boy.
